Have leftover apples?? Need a holiday wow treat?! Try making an apple rose tart!
Apple tart, with a chocolate base and a white chocolate cream cheese filling!
No bake tart:
2 cups of almond meal
3 T of agave syrup (or maple syrup)
1/3 cup of coconut oil, melted
1/4 cup of cocoa powder
2 T protein powder or maca powder
Mix ingredients together in a food processor. Press into a tart pan and place in fridge to set.
White chocolate cream cheese filling
4 ounces of vegan white chocolate, melted
3 T of dairy free cream cheese, softened
I added them to a small and brought to a soft boil, I added 1 tsp of agar agar and let it set. Then mixed it up and added it to my chilled tart.
Slice 3 large apples into thin slices
In a bowl, mix 3 T of sugar
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 T of lemon juice
Arrange your slices by working from the outside to onwards and have the slices overlap.
I baked the apple tart for 30 minutes but you don’t have to. Mind you, the tart will be very soft at room temperature so chill before serving!
